Find Out Where Your IT Stands Before Something Breaks
Most small businesses do not know what shape their IT is in until something fails. A server dies, email goes down, or someone clicks the wrong link, and suddenly the problem is urgent and expensive.
Our free IT assessment gives you a clear picture of your technology before that happens. We review your security, your email platform, your network equipment, your workstations, and your backups, then hand you a one-page report card you can actually read. No jargon, no obligation, no hard sell.
What the Assessment Covers
This is a structured review performed by our technicians onsite, at your office, in person. Not a form you fill out, not an automated scan that spits out a scary-looking PDF, and not a stranger on a video call. Some things only show up when you are standing in front of them, like the state of your network closet or the server tucked in a supply room, and meeting face to face means you know exactly who you would be working with. We look at the five areas where small business IT problems actually start.
Security Posture
We check whether multi-factor authentication is actually turned on for everyone, whether your antivirus is business-grade or a consumer product, how your admin accounts are handled, and whether your email domain is protected against spoofing. This is where most businesses in our area are weakest, and most of them do not know it. It is also the area our cybersecurity services are built around.
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Whichever platform runs your email and files, we review it. That means licensing you are paying for but not using, security settings left at their defaults, old accounts that were never shut off, and whether your data retention settings match how your business actually works. This section almost always finds money being wasted or a door left open.
Network and Infrastructure
We physically inspect your firewall, switches, wireless, and any servers, and check their age, warranty status, and support lifecycle. Equipment that is past end of life still works right up until it does not, and knowing what is on borrowed time lets you plan replacements instead of reacting to failures. Walking the site also catches the things no remote scan ever finds, like overheating closets, tangled cabling, and gear balanced on a shelf.
Workstations
Operating system versions, patch status, and machines that are old enough to be slowing your people down. If any computers are running an operating system that no longer gets security updates, you will know exactly which ones.
Backups and Recovery
Not just whether backups exist, but what they cover, where they live, and when anyone last confirmed they can actually be restored. This is the question that matters most and gets asked least.
What You Walk Away With
A one-page report card scoring your business in each of the five areas, a short summary of what we found, and a prioritized list of recommendations. It is written for business owners, not IT people. You can read the whole thing in two minutes and know exactly where you stand.
How It Works
1. Schedule a call. A 15-minute conversation so we understand your business and what you are working with.
2. We come to you. A technician visits your office, walks the site, inspects your equipment, and reviews your environment in person. We do not install anything, we do not change anything, and your team keeps working like normal.
3. You get your report card. We sit down with you, walk through it in plain language, answer your questions, and leave the report with you either way.
Who This Is For
We work with small and mid-sized businesses across Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Green Cove Springs, including medical and dental offices, professional services firms, and nonprofits. If your business runs on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, has somewhere between 5 and 100 employees, and technology matters to how you get work done, the assessment will be worth your time.
It is a good fit whether you have no IT support at all, an overloaded internal person wearing the IT hat, or a current provider you are not sure is keeping up. Based in St. Augustine? We have a dedicated St. Augustine assessment page as well.
Why Is It Free?
Fair question, so here is the honest answer. Some assessments turn into managed IT client relationships and some do not. Either way, you leave with a clear, useful picture of your IT, and we leave having met a business in our community face to face. We are local, we show up in person, and we would rather earn your trust with real work than with a sales pitch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to be having problems to get an assessment?
No. In fact, the best time to do one is when things seem fine. The assessment is about finding the problems you cannot see yet, like an untested backup or a firewall that went end of life last year.
Will you try to sell us something?
We will show you what we found and what we would recommend, and if you want our help fixing any of it, we will quote it. But the report is yours regardless, and there is no pressure attached to it. You can take it to another provider or handle it internally.
We use Google Workspace, not Microsoft. Does that matter?
Not at all. We support businesses on both platforms and review whichever one you use. The security, licensing, and account hygiene checks apply equally to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
How long does it take?
A 15-minute call to get started, an onsite visit that usually runs two to three hours, and a follow-up meeting to walk through your report card. We only need someone available for questions during the visit, so your team's total time invested is about an hour.
Do you need access to our systems?
During the onsite visit we will need read-level access to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace admin console and physical access to your network closet and equipment areas, all of which we arrange with you during the kickoff call. We do not install software, and we do not make any changes to your environment during the assessment.
