Smart hands and onsite support for other teams

How does a smart hands request work, and how fast can someone get there?

Short answerSend us the site, the job and a contact. Scheduled visits get a time window, and same-day dispatch is available at our emergency rate when it cannot wait.

What to send us, by phone or email. The more of this we have, the shorter and cheaper the visit:

  • The site address, and who at the site knows we are coming.
  • What needs doing and what "done" looks like.
  • Your ticket number, if you want it referenced, and whose name the technician should work under if you are an MSP.
  • Access details: parking, building access, the closet or rack, alarm codes if relevant.
  • Whether your engineer wants to be on the phone during the visit, and how to reach them.
  • Any equipment being shipped, and where it is going.

Two speeds:

  • Scheduled. Booked into a time window that suits the site, at our standard hourly rate. Most smart hands work is this.
  • Same day. When the office cannot work and it will not wait, we dispatch the same day at our emergency rate. Call rather than email for these, so we know it is urgent.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern, which is when requests get picked up and scheduled.

During and after the visit. The technician checks in with you on arrival and before leaving. Afterward you get a short written report: what was done, what was found, photos where useful, the time on site, and anything we noticed that you will want to know about even though it was not part of the job.

To set up a standing arrangement so the first urgent call is not also the first conversation, get in touch with us before you need it. We will keep your sites, contacts and preferences on file.
