Smart hands and onsite support for other teams
How is smart hands work billed?
Short answerOur standard hourly rate with a one hour minimum, or prepaid block hours at a discount that grows with the size of the block. Same-day work is at our emergency rate, and sites more than 40 minutes away add travel one way.
Straightforward, with no monthly agreement required.
- Hourly. Our standard hourly rate, with a one hour minimum per visit. Time on site counts from arrival, including time waiting on a vendor or for someone to unlock the closet.
- Prepaid block hours. If you expect regular work, buy a block of hours up front and the rate drops. Discounts are tiered, so the larger the block, the lower the hourly rate. This is how most MSP partners and branch offices with recurring needs set it up.
- Same day. Dispatching the same day is billed at our emergency rate. Scheduled work is not.
- Travel. Sites within 40 minutes of our Jacksonville office carry no travel charge. Further than that, one way of travel time is added to the visit.
- Parts and equipment. Usually you or your vendor supply them. If you want us to source something, we quote it before buying.
Our published pricing is in ranges rather than exact figures. For smart hands, a real number takes one conversation: tell us roughly how often you expect to need us and where your sites are, and we will tell you which option costs you least. Sometimes the honest answer is that hourly is cheaper than a block you will not use.
If the work at a location turns out to be steady, it can also be worth comparing against a managed agreement for that site, where onsite labor is covered and only a flat trip charge applies.
