Smart hands and onsite support for other teams
Our IT department is at headquarters. Can you handle onsite work at our Jacksonville branch?
A branch office with nobody technical on site usually runs fine right up until something physical goes wrong. A switch dies, a new hire needs a workstation set up, the conference room stops working, the internet provider needs someone to let them in. Your team can see the problem from headquarters and cannot plug anything in.
How we fit in:
- You stay in charge. We follow your standards, your naming, your change process and your instructions. We do not reconfigure anything on our own initiative, and if we see something worth changing we tell you rather than doing it.
- Your engineer on the phone. For anything beyond a straightforward swap, the best arrangement is your engineer on a call with our technician, directing while we do the physical work. It is faster than either side working alone.
- Shipments received and staged. Send equipment to us or to the branch, and we will unbox it, check it arrived intact, rack or mount it and get it ready for your team to configure remotely.
- A regular visit if you want one. Some branches do well with a scheduled visit every couple of weeks to clear the small things that pile up. Others only need us when something breaks.
If the branch grows to the point where your team wants more than occasional hands, a co-managed arrangement gives you ongoing local coverage, monitoring and a shared view of the tickets while your team keeps final say. There is a separate article on that in the Fit topic.
