Beyond break-fix
Who do we call for a business phone system?
Short answerUs. Cloud phones for most businesses now, and the thing to check first is whether your internet can carry them.
We deploy and manage business phone systems, and for most offices that now means a cloud based system rather than hardware in a closet. Handsets, softphones on computers, apps on mobiles, or a mix.
What usually makes it worth changing: paying for lines you do not use, a system nobody can reconfigure without calling a vendor, no way to work from anywhere, or a physical unit old enough that parts are getting hard to find.
Three things to sort out before switching:
- Your internet connection. Calls are unforgiving about quality in a way that email is not. Upload bandwidth and consistency matter more than headline speed, and this is the most common reason a cloud phone system disappoints.
- Number porting. Moving your existing numbers takes longer than everything else and should start early. This is the part that delays projects.
- What else is connected. Fax lines, alarm dialers, elevator phones, credit card terminals. These get forgotten and then stop working, and some genuinely need to stay on a traditional line.
We also connect phone systems to the other things you run, since call logging into your line of business software is worth having when it is available.
