Security and compliance
Do you handle backups, and how do you know they work?
Two different things get called backup and they are priced differently, so it is worth being exact about which is which.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace backup is included in the per-user fee for managed clients. That covers mail, calendars, contacts, OneDrive or Drive files, SharePoint, and Teams data. This matters more than most businesses realize, because Microsoft and Google do not back your data up the way people assume. Their retention and recycle bin windows are not a backup, and a deletion or a ransomware event that syncs to the cloud will happily take your files with it.
Server backup is quoted separately, per server, and each server includes up to 1 TB of backup storage. It is its own line on your agreement rather than being folded into the per-user number, because a business with three servers and a business with none should not be paying the same.
Whatever we back up, we test. Managed clients get monthly test restores and the results appear in your reporting. A backup that has never been restored is a guess, and the gap between a job reporting success and the data actually being usable is where businesses get destroyed.
For hourly and monitoring-only clients, backup is not included by default. It can be purchased separately, and we would much rather sell it to you now than explain later that there was nothing to restore from.
