Pricing and contracts

How is backup priced?

Short answerCloud data is in the per-user fee. Servers are a separate line each, including up to 1 TB of backup storage per server.

Backup is priced in two parts, because it protects two different things that cost very different amounts to protect.

  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data: included in the per-user fee for managed clients. Mail, files, SharePoint, OneDrive or Drive, and Teams data for every user on your agreement.
  • Servers: quoted separately, per server, with up to 1 TB of backup storage included for each one. No servers means nothing on this line. Four servers means four lines.

We price it this way on purpose. Rolling server backup into a per-user rate means clients with no servers quietly subsidize the ones with several, and it buries what becomes a real cost the day you add a server. You should be able to see what you are paying for.

If a server outgrows its included terabyte, additional storage is quoted. You will hear about it at a review while there is still room, not after.

Hourly and monitoring-only clients do not get backup by default. It is available as a separate purchase and we recommend it, because the businesses that call us hourly are usually the ones with the least protection already in place.
