Fit and experience
If we hire our own IT person, do you offer a co-managed option?
This comes up when a business is big enough to justify someone in house but not a whole department. A typical split: your person handles new hire setup, tablets and truck inventory, password resets, and the small daily requests. We handle security monitoring, patching, backups, the server and network, vendor escalation, projects, and coverage for nights, weekends, and vacations.
It works when the boundaries are written down and both sides have the same information. Your person gets access to our documentation and the tools we run, so they are not working blind, and we agree on exactly what gets handed to us and when. Without that, co-managed quietly becomes two parties each assuming the other handled it.
It also protects you from the single point of failure problem. Your IT person can take a vacation, and if they leave, the documentation and the tooling stay.
