Beyond break-fix
Our offices are not standardized, and some came from acquisitions. Can you fix that?
Acquired offices almost always arrive with their own equipment, their own way of doing things, and often their own vendors. Trying to unify everything at once is how you turn an annoyance into an outage.
We work in this order: first identity and security, so everyone authenticates the same way and is protected the same way regardless of which office they sit in. Then backup and monitoring coverage everywhere. Then network and equipment standardization as hardware comes up for replacement anyway, which spreads the cost across your normal refresh cycle rather than creating a project. Workflow and application differences come last, because those are usually management decisions wearing a technology costume.
That final point is worth sitting with. Some of what looks like an IT inconsistency between offices is actually two managers who do things differently. We will tell you which of your differences are technical and which are not, and we cannot fix the second kind for you.
