Who do we call to clean up licenses we're not using?

Short answerUs. It is usually an hour of work and it frequently finds real money.

License drift is universal and nobody notices because the bill arrives monthly and looks roughly the same as last month.

What a review typically turns up:

  • Licenses on departed staff. The mailbox was converted or left alone and the license was never removed. We have found businesses paying for a third more users than they employ.
  • Duplicate or overlapping subscriptions bought at different times by different people, sometimes through different resellers.
  • Standalone products already included in a plan you own. Paying separately for something bundled in Business Premium is common.
  • Annual commitments nobody tracks, renewing silently on dates nobody has in a calendar.

Two practical notes. Annual-term licenses cannot be reduced mid-term, only at renewal, so timing the cleanup to your renewal date matters. And before removing any license, the associated data needs handling, because removing a license starts a deletion clock on that mailbox and its contents.

If you buy licensing through us it is one invoice and we track the renewal dates. If you buy direct, we will still do the review.
