Network, Wi-Fi and installs
Who do we call to run network cable or add drops?
Short answerWe handle it, including coordinating a low voltage cabling contractor for larger runs.
Small jobs, meaning a few drops in an existing office, we do directly. Larger work, a full office fit-out or anything going through walls and ceilings at scale, we bring in a cabling contractor we work with and manage the job so you are not the one coordinating trades.
Two things worth deciding up front, because both are far cheaper now than later:
- Run more than you need. The cable is the cheap part. The labor and the ceiling tiles are the expensive part. Pulling two drops to a location costs barely more than one.
- Put drops where equipment will go, not just where desks are. Access points in ceilings, cameras at corners, a printer alcove, the conference room display. These get forgotten and then get solved badly with a long cable across the floor.
If you are signing a lease, get us in before you sign. What is already in the walls, and what the landlord will allow you to add, changes what a space actually costs to occupy.
