Network, Wi-Fi and installs

Who do I call for firewall support?

Short answerUs, whatever brand you run. First question we will ask is whether the security subscription is still current.

We manage firewalls from the main business vendors, and we work on whatever you already have rather than insisting on a replacement.

What we usually find when we take one over:

  • An expired subscription. The single most common finding. The device still passes traffic so nothing looks wrong, but the protection you are paying for has been off for months.
  • Firmware years behind. Firewalls sit at the edge of your network, which makes unpatched ones a genuinely serious exposure rather than a housekeeping item.
  • Rules nobody can explain. Port forwards opened for a camera system replaced two years ago, a rule added for a vendor who no longer works here. Each is a hole, and cleaning them up is careful work rather than a quick delete.
  • Default or shared admin credentials. More common than you would hope.

If you do not know whether your subscription is current or who has admin access to your firewall, those are worth finding out this week, whether or not you call us.
