Who to call to manage our systems

Who do we call to manage our servers?

Short answerUs, whether the server is in your closet, hosted, or in Azure.

Server management covers patching on a schedule that accounts for your business hours rather than interrupting them, monitoring of the things that predict failure such as drive health, capacity, memory pressure and services stopping, backup with monthly restore testing, and the vendor coordination when your line of business application needs work done on its host.

Two things worth stating plainly.

Server backup is billed separately, per server, with up to 1 TB of storage included for each. It is not folded into the per-user fee because a business with no servers should not subsidize one with three. Separately billed does not mean optional, though. We will not take on a managed client whose servers have no working backup.

We will tell you when you no longer need it. Plenty of servers we inherit exist to share files, which Microsoft 365 does better and cheaper. If yours only exists for one application, hosting that somewhere else is often the better answer than replacing hardware every five years. We would rather advise that than manage a box you do not need.
